Information
Abbots Grange is an 11 bedded mixed sex scheme with a combination of self contained flats and shared living. All clients are allocated a key worker and will be supported in a recovery led way, incorporating tools such as Recovery Star, weekly planners and budget planning
The staff’s commitment goes beyond the immediate support, as they actively engage in professional development and collaborate with community partners to enhance the quality of care and advocate for improved mental health services. Through their unwavering dedication, the Service empowers clients to overcome challenges and achieve progress in their journey towards improved mental health and well-being.
People We Support
The individuals we support have a range of complex mental health needs and we support them to attend GP appointments, hospital and depot appointments as well as the Clozaril clinic. We also support our individuals with everyday living tasks such as shopping, room and laundry hygiene and we offer 1-1 support whether it be meal, financial or emotional whilst supporting them to remain as independent as possible.
We offer a weekly range of fun activities suited to our individuals such as in-house activities e.g.; bingo, board game evenings, movie afternoons and baking days and group meals. We also tend to organise a monthly trip out which can range from things such as beach days, meals out, go-karting and previously Alton Towers and Blackpool day trips. If an individual we support has a certain hobby or interest then we will support them with this, for example one of our individuals is an avid fisher and loves to spend time down the canal which is local to us with staff support. Some of clients go the gym, swimming and on bike rides with our staff regularly as we promote fitness and well-being here at Abbots Grange.
