This service supports 13 people, both men and women, aged 18+. Century House is a 3 storey building and each person we support has their own tenancy in their self-contained flat. All clients are allocated a key worker and will be supported in a recovery led way, incorporating tools such as Recovery Star, weekly planners and budget planning.
The staff’s commitment goes beyond the immediate support, as they actively engage in professional development and collaborate with community partners to enhance the quality of care and advocate for improved mental health services. Through their unwavering dedication, the Service empowers clients to overcome challenges and achieve progress in their journey towards improved mental health and well-being.
People We Support
The 13 individuals we support have complex mental health needs. They all have a bespoke care packages that we deliver daily according to need. The basic care package is 37 hours weekly which is broken down daily inclusive of medication support, budgeting, daily living skills, activities, support to meetings and health appointments. We have some larger than life characters who have different interests from horses, crafts, gaming, football and fishing . We also have an activity coordinator who develops activities for the week, this includes in-house activities such as quiz’s, bingo, garden games, BBQs, crafts, baking etc. External activities include group walks, pub meals, bingo, days out to places such as Llandudno, Chester, bowling and cinema. We have even been known to have a water fight or 2! We also have open days and charity events.

Service Manager
Marisa Skelt
The manager of this Service is Marisa Skelt. She has a HND in Social Care, an NVQ level 5 ‘Leader in Adult Care’ and over 30 year’s experience ranging from domestic violence, children in care, day services, learning difficulties and addictions. Outside of work she enjoys socialising, spending time with friends and family and the outdoors.
Service Demographics
Century House is based in Ellesmere Port. It sits on the outskirts next to the Boat Museum, approximately 0.9 miles from the town centre where you can access supermarkets, banks and shops. It takes around 20 minutes to walk there. We are also close to public transport links like the bus station and train station.
