Southbank is a 100+ year old hotel converted into a mix of 7 self-contained flats & 7 en-suite rooms in the centre of the old town area of Runcorn. There are 2 spacious communal areas with televisions and cooking facilities, as well as a shared laundry room. One communal area is used for quite relaxing activities & one is the hub of Southbank, where all clients interact, join group activities & a weekly Sunday lunch for all to enjoy.
Southbank supports clients with complex mental health needs, it is staffed 24 hours a day and has a sleepover covering the nights.
People We Support
Staff support clients following a person centre approach. Staff will support with daily living tasks such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, and encouraging good personal hygiene.
Southbank staff encourage and provide social inclusion opportunities through use of local amenities and services for example day centres, support groups and leisure activities with the intention of integrating clients back into the community.
Staff at Southbank have 1-1 time with clients offering emotional support and an opportunity to undertake activities that they enjoy such as lunch, shopping trips, walks in the local area, group cooking and much more. Music is a big part of Southbank & regular music groups are held within communal areas.
